Broward Art Guild Exhibitions

Open-Call Monthly Exhibitions...

The Broward Art Guild presents many visual art exhibitions throughout the year, hosted mostly at our gallery, and occasionally at various locations in Broward County. The majority of these are juried shows, which are judged by visual art professionals from various areas of the world of visual art. We offer a mix of open-themed exhibits as well as some specific themes, which are designed to both engage the public as well as challenge some artists to expand their craft. For a listing of our Winter/Spring 2013 exhibit schedule, view our calendar below.

Participating artists do not have to be Guild members to enter work into our shows, unless specifically noted as a "Member's Only" exhibit. Works entered must be presented in a professional manner. Individual calls to artists will have the specific details and restrictions on each exhibit. Please feel free to call us at 954-537-3370 for more details or to answer any questions.

The public is invited to the exhibit openings, where awards are presented...including "People's Choice". Receptions are free and open to the public. Participating artists are encouraged to make their works available for sale, so buyers and collectors take note.

Winter Open-Theme Exhibit

Open theme, open medium, 2-D , 3-D and Jewelry.
Location: Broward Art Guild Gallery, 3280 NE 32nd Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308.

The Secret Art Show - Exhibit and Fundraiser

All works 5" x 7". For each $50 donation, collectors get an "Artwork Ticket", which will be drawn at the event and allow the collector to take a piece of art from the exhibit home.

Human Image & Portrait

Works depicting the human figure, or portraiture. Open medium, 2-D, 3-D and Jewelry.

Quick-Draw Pompano - Timed Art Competition

This timed art competition gives artists 2 hours to create works of art from scratch. Spectators are encouraged to come watch art be created before their very eyes. Taking place in beautiful Historic pompano beach, there is plenty of inspiration for artists to draw from (or paint actually). An exhibit and Silent Auction of the completed works will give the opportunity for purchasing these newly-created masterpieces.
Date of Quick Draw Event: Saturday, May 11th, 2013 (timeline below)
Location: Historic Pompano Beach, FL (specifics below)
Check-in: 10am Check-in at Founder's Park, 215 NE 4th Avenue, Pompano Beach
Painting: 11:00am -1:00pm (Bells will sound)
Prep work for judging and exhibit: 1:00-2:00 pm at Art Hall, located at 50 NE 1st Street
Silent Auction of Created works/Fundraising Event: Wed., May 15th at Art Hall, located at 50 NE 1st Street
Exhibit Run Dates: May 11th - June 14th, 2013
Artist Pickup: Sat. June 15th, 9am-2pm pickup any unsold artworks from exhibit.

Broward Art Guild Annual Member Meeting

Members and friends of the Guild are invited to attend our annual meeting where we discuss the year in review, needs of the Guild and look to the future. We also accept nominations for new Board Members and present the executive Board slate of positions for the upcoming year at this meeting.
